North-east winds are due today Watch out for the sign Heavy cloud, expect some rain Right now it's just fine Little swell, the waves are tame The weather has been kind Hoping for more of the same Before it changes mind I will sail for the island I will try to stay alive The cold front now is here to stay The wind is in it's prime Ferocious waves will make me pay Just a matter of time I will sail for the island I will try to stay alive I will wait for the time when I will try again The storm is starting to decay The sun starting to shine Home is just a day away Sailing a straight line I will sail for the island I will try to stay alive I will wait for the time when I will try again Savage Waters

Low-ly Girl 05:30
So unbecoming and it does begin to show How that a girl like you, I wish I didn’t know In the beginning you were just a passing faze A preoccupation just to get me through my days Low-ly girl, my low-ly, low-ly girl I never thought that I would ever catch your eye So when you picked me up, it was a big surprise Low-ly girl, my low-ly, low-ly girl For just one moment you were swaying in my arms You with your golden hair and me with sweaty palms Low-ly girl, my low-ly, low-ly girl Please will you be my angel Be my trophy on display Only if you weren’t so common Maybe I’d appreciate Next thing I notice is that I'm in love with you That was the worst thing I could ever wish to do Low-ly girl, my low-ly, low-ly girl And then you tell me you don't want to be alone That you were looking for someone to take you home Low-ly girl, my low-ly, low-ly girl Another moment and I'm waiting by the door And then I find out you don't want me any more Low-ly girl, my low-ly, low-ly girl I can't believe it that I only just stood by And watch you go ahead and fuck some other guy Low-ly girl, my low-ly, low-ly girl Now that I'm all alone and in my misery (oh woe woe) Dwelling on something that will never ever be Low-ly girl, my low-ly, low-ly girl Please will you be my angel Be my trophy on display Only if you weren’t so common Maybe I’d appreciate

Just by chance I see Our paths crossing again Do you remember me? I don't think I have changed After all these years and the varied roads travelled why each time we meet I end up feeling this way Never again Is this our last encounter? Forevermore What ever the chance I don't know Are you still alone? Do you ever regret How far apart we've grown? We both let ourselves get We've both had our share of our good times and bad Though its only the good I have strong memories Never again Is this our last encounter? Forevermore Whatever the chance I don't know Auf Wiedersehen And I hope you have a good life Sayonara Farewell and goodbye and adieu Good luck with whatever you do And never will I forget you

An Afternoon with Undertow City - by Paul Spurling

It was late Friday afternoon and I was standing in the bathroom in the Frankston Town Hall feeling sorry for myself. Hours earlier my editor had given me the ultimatum, “Get an interview with surf-rock sensations Undertow City or it’s your arse”. Valuing my arse somewhat I had made the trip to the Frankston Guitar Festival in quick time as I had caught wind that “The City”, as I’ve (some would say annoyingly) started to refer to them as, were opening the whole weekend-long show.

But, as of 7pm I had no interview. With any of them. Sure, I had caught their act, and it was their usual stunning display of pop/rock with that hint of the beach that had so endeared them to coastal crowds over the 4 years that they’d been together, but that wasn’t going to be good enough my editor.

Then it suddenly happened. Drummer Craig Fenwick appeared next to me at the urinal. I female friend had told me he was most approachable of the four.
“Good show,” I said, as I moved ever so slowly towards him.
“Piss off mate,” he said.
“Even better than that gig at the front bar of the Espy a year or two back,” I ventured bravely.
“Okay mate, if you don’t leave now I’ll call security,” he barked.
I continued on with my interview. I think he liked me.

I walked out of the bathroom proud as punch. I had quotes from Undertow City’s esteemed drummer. All I would have to do is take out a few phrases such as “I’ll flush your f---ing head down the toilet if you don’t f--- off”, and my job was safe as houses!

It was all a breeze from then on. I recognised Lead Singer Colin Bokulic’s voice from the time I heard him on Undertow City’s live appearance on Plenty Valley that night in 2001.

"One of These Days is my favourite track of yours, no wonder it won most requested song on Plenty Valley FM, and was included on the 'Freshly Squeezed 2000' compilation CD" I said.
"Sorry, did you say something mate," he said.
"How 'bout an interview," I said.
"With you?"
"Yeah."
"Do you write for Rolling Stone?" he asked hopefully.
"No."
"Juice?" Still hopeful.
"No."
"New Idea?" Getting desperate.
"No."
"Dolly?" Really desperate.
"No."
"Not interested mate," he said. "Piss off."

So I did. I now had excellent quotes from two members of the group. Two down, two to go. As luck would have it I spotted lead guitarist Dick Pengelley and Bassist George Parton deep in conversation just next to the Ibanez stand.
"Satriani still plays an Ibanez," I heard Dick tell George as I approached.
"Yeah, and I think he uses an Eventide Harmonizer too," I said, as I wedged myself between the two musos.
"And who the F--- are you," they said in unison.

And with that I had quotes from all four members of Undertow City.
